Sky To Sea is a global community development nonprofit organization dedicated to helping leaders and communities thrive. We are doing this by focusing on two main initiatives: Hosting service-focused international trips and supporting basic education overseas.

Service-focused International Trips

Sky To Sea has hosted 6 service trips over the last 7 years and we believe that nothing can compare with traveling overseas to serve others. These immersive experiences undoubtedly expand our worldview and give us the unique opportunity to have face-to-face interaction with the community and culture of a foreign country. These trips allow us to have hands-on experience building schools, serving the poor, comforting widows, playing with orphans, and collaborating with local leaders to help their communities thrive. 

Supporting Basic Education Overseas

Approximately 263 million children and youth worldwide do not attend school. For those who attend school, the quality of education is lacking—one estimate suggests that 25% of children who complete four years of primary school have not learned basic literacy and numeracy skills. Education is crucial to helping communities thrive. According to the World Bank, an increase of one standard deviation in student reading and math scores is associated with an increase of two percentage points in annual gross domestic product (GDP) per capita growth! Sky To Sea is passionate about creating access to quality education. We do this by partnering with local leaders to build and repair schools, provide adequate seating and desks for students, provide funding for class materials, and supplement teacher's salaries.
